Was Heaven's Door Closed in 1935?

Thank you for calling SOS. This presentation will run from March 16 to the
31st. Today, we will be asking the question, “Was the door to heaven closed
in the year 1935?”

Let’s open our Bibles to the 7th Chapter of the Book of Revelation @ the 4th
verse where it reads like this:

“And I heard the number of those who were sealed, a hundred and forty-four
thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel:”

then, drop down to vs. 9 where it reads:

“After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able
to number...standing before the throne and before the Lamb...”

This chapter is truly remarkable, and being familiar with it is essential
since, according to the WT, and I’m quoting now:

“The heavenly hope was held out, highlighted and stressed until about the
year 1935. Then as ‘light flashed up’ to reveal clearly the identity of the
great crowd of Rev. 7:9, the emphasis began to be placed on the earthly
hope.”
End of Quote: From the WT of Feb. 1, 1982, p28.

Apparently then, only those who were faithful witnesses of Jehovah before
the year 1935 can ever hope to end up with Jesus in The Heavenly Kingdom. On
the other hand, the great crowd is confined to an earthly hope, and consists
of all those becoming Jehovah’s Witnesses after year 1935.

Question:
But what hope did the woman that became faithful Jehovah’s Witnesses before
the year 1935 have? I ask this question because @ Rev: 14 vs. 1-4 it says
this and I quote:

“And I saw, and look! The Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him a
hundred and forty four thousand...they are singing as if a new song before
the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders...These are
the ones that did not defile themselves with women; in fact they are
virgins.”

We can clearly see that the 144,000 were not only before the throne (Just
like the great crowd was), but also, that they were only men who haven’t
defiled themselves with woman.

According to the WT then, it seems that female “Jehovah’s Witnesses” before
the year 1935 had neither a heavenly hope nor an earthly one!

What about the great crowd then? Are they not also in heaven before the
throne and before the Lamb?

That’s right! The great crowd in Rev: 7:9 is before the throne just as the
144,000 are also before the throne in Rev: 14:3.

If you are still doubting that the great crowd is actually in heaven before
the throne, lets read the 19th chapter @ vs. 1 and I quote:

“After these things I heard what was a loud voice of a great crowd in
heaven. They said, ‘Praise Jah you people!’

Incredibly, the great crowd is praising God in heaven!

So, was the WT correct when it said that heavens door was closed in 1935?

Remember: The WT was wrong in teaching that Christ returned invisibly in
1874.

Wrong in predicting that the world would end in 1914.
Wrong in predicting that Abraham, Isaac & Jacob would be raised back to
life in 1925.
And the WT was wrong in leading millions to believe that Armageddon would
come in 1975.

So, would it be wise to allow the WT to close heavens door in 1935?

Let’s look at what Jesus tells us @ John 17:20-24

Jesus is praying to his Father and made certain requests for his Apostles
and in vs. 20 He says,

“I make request, not concerning these only, but also concerning those
putting faith in me through their word;”

Well then, Jesus requests apply to everyone who puts faith in him through
the words of the apostles.

Have you read the Apostle’s writings and put faith in Jesus through their
word? Then Jesus’ request applies to you also. And what did Jesus ask of the
Father for all those putting faith in Him?

Let’s read what Jesus requests in John 17:24.

Quote: Father, as to what you have given me, I wish that, where I am, they
also may be with me, in order to behold my glory that you have given me” End
of Quote

So, Jesus wants everyone who puts faith in Him to end up with him, where he
is, in the Heavenly Kingdom.

So, was the door to heaven closed to you in 1935?

I’ll close this presentation with a few passages from the apostle Paul, and
I quote:

“Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a
building from God, an eternal house in heaven.” End of Quote From 2Cor: 5:1.

And also from Philippians I Quote:

“Their mind is on earthly things. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we
eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power
that enables him to bring everything under his control will transform our
lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body” End of Quote:
Philippians 3:18-21.

Please join us any time. Next month, SOS will be presenting to you a very
important Memorial message starting April 1/2000.
