God's Character

Holiness: Holiness is that perfection of God whereby He abhors that which is evil and demands purity.(1)
1 Pet 1:16 for it is written:"Be holy, because I am holy."

Justice: Justice is the attribute if God by which He caries out the laws that He has imposed. (2)
Hos 12:6 ...maintain love and justice

Righteousness: Righteousness is the attribute that causes God to always do right.(3)
Neh 9:7-12 You are the LORD God...You have kept your promise because you are righteous.

Love: Love is the attribute which moves God to communicate His concern for the ultimate welfare of ones that He loves.(4)
Jn 3:16 God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son

Mercy: Mercy is God's compassion for the sinner in not giving him what he deserves(5)
Mic 7:18 Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance?

Grace: Grace is unmerited goodness and love of God for those who have forfeited it.(6)
Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God

Goodness: This attribute of God is revealed in His bountiful dealing with mankind.(7)
Psa 145:9 The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

Truth: God cannot lie nor tolerate untruth.(8)
 Jn 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth
