PROPER WORSHIP=

NO REBUKE :

Jn 20:28 Thomas called Jesus God

(In Jn 20:28 Thomas was NOT referring to 'gods' (or judges) of Ps 82:1-6 but to Jesus being God the Son.)

Mat 28:9...They clasped his feet and worshipped him

Mat 28:17 When they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

Mt 14:33 Christ is worshipped in a boat

 REBUKE :

IMPROPER WORSHIP

Rev 19:10 & 22:8 and Acts 10:25(both times these men were rebuked for improper worship (ie worship of angels or men)

he reason they (John and Cornelius) were reprimanded is that proskuneo is generally translated to bow down but--listen closely--if a person is already down, the addition of proskuneo must indicate worship. Cornelius didn't fall at Peter's feet and then bow down, he was already down. John didn't fall down at the angel's feet and then bow down, he was already down. They both fell down and worshipped. Ergo the strong words of correction: "Worship God, not me."

Remember the words of the devil in the temptation in Matthew 4:9? "And he said to Him, 'All these things will I give You, if You fall down and worship me.'" No possibility of mistaking that. Then Jesus said to him, "Begone, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.'"(1) For complete transcript "Was Jesus Worshipped"
