Gospel (First Importance -Christ, Cross and Resurrection): 1 Cor 15:1-8 NOW I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also.

Four Basic Components Of The Gospel Message:
A) Christ:
Acts 16:31 They said, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household. Acts 5:42 / Acts 8:35 / Acts 2:31 / 2:26 / Acts 4:10 / Acts 2:38 /Acts 3:6 /Acts 3:18/ Acts 3:20 / Acts 8:5 / 9:15 / (Christ appears over 27 times / Jesus 71 times)
B) Cross (Shed Blood, Forgiveness of Sins): Acts 2:23 this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. / Acts 5:30 /Acts 10:39 /
C) Resurrection: Acts 4:2 being greatly disturbed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. / Acts 2:24 / 2:31-32 / 3:15 / 5:30-32 / 4:2 / 4:10 / 10:31 / 10:39 / 13:28-30 / 13:32 / 13:37 / 17:3 / 17:18 / 24:21 / 25:19 / 26:28 / 26:23 (direct reference to word "resurrection" over 10 times)
D) Apostles To Be Witnesses of These Events: Acts 5:32 And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him. / Acts 1:8 / Acts 3:14-15 / Acts 10:39

The Book of Acts -The Gospel (Good News) Model
Apostles Instructed To Be Christ's Witnesses:
Acts 1:8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth. / Acts 3:14-15 / Acts 8:25
Peter's First Public Speech: Acts 2:22-24 Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know -- this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power. / Acts 2:31,32
Apostles Re-Affirm Christ's Instructions To Preach This 'Good News': Acts 3:14-15 But you disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, but put to death the Prince of life, the one whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses. (also see Acts 5:32 / 4:2 / 4:10 / 10:31 / 10:39 / 13:28-30 / 13:32 / 13:37 / 17:3 / 17:18 / 24:21 / 25:19 / 26:8 / 26:23 / 25:19)
Contents of The Gospel (Sinless / Cross / Resurrected / Witness): Acts 13:28-32 And though they found no ground for putting Him to death, they asked Pilate that He be executed. When they had carried out all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a tomb. But God raised Him from the dead; and for many days He appeared to those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, the very ones who are now His witnesses to the people. And we preach to you the good news of the promise made to the fathers, / Acts 24:21 /
Gospel Message For Both Gentile and Jew: Acts 26:23 that the Christ was to suffer, and that by reason of His resurrection from the dead He would be the first to proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.
Early Church Preached The Gospel In Many Villages: Acts 8:25 So, when they had solemnly testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they started back to Jerusalem, and were preaching the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.
Stoics and Epicureans Thought it was a Strange Message: Acts 17:18-19 And also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him. Some were saying, What would this idle babbler wish to say? Others, He seems to be a proclaimer of strange deities, -- because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection. And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new teaching is which you are proclaiming?
Warned Not To Preach In Christ's Name: Acts 4:17-18 But so that it will not spread any further among the people, let us warn them to speak no longer to any man in this name. And when they had summoned them, they commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. / Acts 5:28 / Acts 5:40
Apostles Rejoiced In Suffering Through Preaching Christ's Name: Acts 5:41 So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.
Apostles Suffered Persecution In Christ's Name: Acts 21:13-14 Then Paul answered, What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And since he would not be persuaded, we fell silent, remarking, The will of the Lord be done! / see Chapter 15 / Acts 9:16
Freedom Through The proclamation of The Gospel: Acts 13:39 and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.
Belief Was Through Grace (Not Works): Acts 18:27 And when he wanted to go across to Achaia, the brethren encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace,

Model of Preaching and Receiving The Good News In Acts:

(Preaching / Hearing /Believing):
A) Preached The Gospel:
Acts 10:36,39 The word which He sent to the sons of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all) --We are witnesses of all the things He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross. God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He become visible, Acts:2:24-38 / Acts 16:31
B) The Message Was Heard and Believed: Acts 10:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. Acts 2:41/ Acts 16:33

(see also Rom5:10 / Rom 10:14,15 / Rom 10:17)

Gospel In Ephesians
Gospel Is The Message of Truth and Salvation:
Eph 1:13-14 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation -- having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory.

Gospel In Galations
Paul Rebukes The Church For Trusting in a False Gospel:
Gal 1:6-7 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
Paul's Admonition For Those Who Teach a False Gospel (Curse): Gal 1:8-9 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!
The Gospel Paul Preaches Is Not From Man: Gal 1:11-12 For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
Paul Is Given Instructions By Christ To Preach Christ: Gal 1:16 to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood,

Gospel In 1 Corinthians (see first section 1 Cor 15:1-8) (also see 1 Cor 9:12,16)
Gospel Provides Salvation Message / Cross is Foolishness: 1 Cor 1:17-18 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void. For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Christ Crucified is The Central Message: 1 Cor 1:23-24 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Gospel In Philippians
Christ is Central In The Preaching:
Philippians 1:15-16 Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; Phil 1:18-21
Strive In One Mind For The Gospel (Worthy Manner): Phil 1:27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
The Congregation Would Suffer For Christ's Name and The Gospel: Phil 1:29 For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
(see also Phil 4:3 / Phil 4:15 )

Gospel In Colossians
Our Hope Is In Heaven Due To The Gospel:
Col 1:5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel
Peace With God is Made Through Christ's Shed Blood On The Cross: Col 1:20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
Formerly Hostile / We Are Now Reconciled and Blameless: Col 1:21-22 And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach -
Paul is a Minister of The Gospel / We Have Hope In This Message: 1:23 if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.
Gospel Is Rooted in Christ / Avoid Vain Philosphies: Col 2:6-7 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
Debt of Sin Cancelled Through Cross / Death and Resurrection: Col 2:12-14 having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Gospel In 1 Thessalonians
The Gospel and Holy Spirit Bring Us to Full Conviction: 1
Thes 1:5 for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction; just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.
There is Opposition To The Gospel Message: 1 Thess 2:2 but after we had already suffered and been mistreated in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much opposition.
The Thessalonians Were Entrusted With The Gospel: 1 Thess 2:4 but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who examines our hearts.
Gospel of Christ / Gospel of God The Same Message: 1 Thess 3:2 and we sent Timothy, our brother and God's fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you as to your faith, 1 Thes 2:8-9

Gospel In 2 Thessalonians
Gospel Is The Message For Salvation(Hold Firm to it):
2 Thess 2:13-15 But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.
